Shift (The Shade Trilogy)

Shift - Jeri Smith-Ready Actual rating: 3.5Original review: http://onabookbender.com/2011/10/12/review-shift-by-jeri-smith-ready/The reason why Shift didn’t rate higher was because it took me awhile before I got into the book. The main culprit was the love triangle. I wasn’t a fan of Logan in Shade and that feeling only intensified in Shift. I tried to sympathize with Aura’s feelings, but all I really wanted to do was shake her and shove her toward Zachary, whom I really really adored — and not just for his accent. Though he doesn’t have Jace’s wit, I think I like Zachary better; it’s that totally supportive thing that gets me.Shift offers more answers to questions that remained after reading Shade. At the same time, there are still a few questions left to answer in Shine. I admit to really adoring the ending of Shift and am looking forward to the next book. How Shift ended really helped me to get over my annoyance with the love triangle; I can only hope that Shine is even better.
